Getting To Know Each other
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at LHCC a great one! After worship, our pastor will ask everyone in attendance to greet everyone around them. We do this because at LHCC we are all family, and our members will be eager to welcome you in.
How long is service and what's it like?
In total, our service is about 2 hours in length. Services begin with the worship team leading the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, our pastor will come out to preach the word of God. In a lot of church's you'll be given a motivational speech, at LHCC we want to lift you up but not at the expense of the Gospel. Our entire goal is to equip you to go into the world and be fishers of men, and give you the tools you need to fight the spiritual battles we face everyday. In essence we want you to grow more like Christ, not give an illusion of it.
What about my kids?
We offer classes for all age groups. Our nursery opens at 9:50am and serves children from 1yo to 4yo. Our K1-8 classes begin check-in at 9:45am and our high school youth class starts right after worship.
What kind of church are we?
LHCC is a member of the Assemblies of God USA. We believe that the Holy Spirit moves today just as He did in the 1st century church. LHCC is also a very welcoming church with and a home for anyone. Our vision of the church is more of a hospital for the broken than a hangout for the saints. This means that when we say everyone is welcome, we mean it. With that being said, we try to help each other in our walk with Christ in accordance with the Gospel and the Word of God as a whole.
